Hace 8 minutos · 4TH EUROPEAN TANGO CHAMPIONSHIP 2013 OFFICIAL LOCAL BRANCH OF TANGO BUENOS AIRES DANCE WORLD CUP 2013 ***RULES*** The 4th European Tango Championship consists of the following categories: Salon Tango and Stage Tango for Couples (entry for amateur and professional dancers is unrestricted for both ). Management: The highest authority of reference for the competition - for all matters concerning the application of all provisions of this regulation - will be Dirección General de Festivales y Eventos Centrales. For all concerns the organization of the event, the Official European Branch will be responsible (the Cultural Association European Tango Society) as stipulated in the Agreement of Cooperation signed with the Dirección General de Festivales y Eventos Centrales of the Ministry of Culture the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. To this end, the Organization will establish in Annex I of this Regulation, the details of the dates and enrollment, additional awards and special mentions to those laid down in this Regulation. Registration: Couples from any nationality can register, given that they can prove a minimum of 3 (three) years of residence in a country of the European continent, participants must be at least 18 years on the date of beginning of the Championship. The European continent includes the following countries: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Vatican City, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece , Iceland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland, the Republic of Macedonia, Romania , Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, Israel. No one can compete two or more times in the same category, but couples can compete in several categories, with the same or a different partner. Each couple can represent just one country among the nation of residence or birth of one or of the two partners of the couple. To register, each of the parties concerned must follow formalities (according to time and manner specified) that the organization has established and published: 1) - Complete the Application Form published online on official website of the European Tango Championship 2013: www.eutango.com or 2) - Send the same information required in the form on-line, by mail at the following e-mail: eutangoasd@gmail.com. The registration will be confirmed after the full payment of the participation fee. Entry Accreditation for all participants will take place in the date and time indicated by the organization, and participants must present a document of identity. At the accreditation, all Participants will receive their number of order and they’ll be informed about dates, locations and approximate time of their presentations in the different phases of competition for the corresponding category. Those who won’t accredit will not participate in the Championship. Any delay will be taken into account only beyond documented circumstances, save the case in which due causes to general situations that result of public dominion is invoked. All the information provided for accreditation will be considered a sworn statement. Any contradiction in the information, subsequent to the signature, will be penalized by subtraction of points, disqualification from the competition or any other measure the Management may consider appropriate. At the accreditation, participants must inform the organization if within 180 days before the Championship have kept some working relationship, professional or personal with one or more jurors of the Championship. The identity card and the accreditation form shall also be presented before each stage of the competition. All participants in the Championship – whether called - undertake to take part in all the various acts and events planned by the Management, such press conferences, interviews on radio or television, etc... The competition The competition in both categories, will take place in 3 (three) stages: a) classification, b) and c Semi-finals) Finals. a) Classification: all the couples registered for the competition will participate. All the couples Will dance twice (on the same day or on different days, depending on the program established by the Organization). b) Semi-finals: competing couples who have been selected in the classification phase will participate. c) Final: The winning couple of the pre-mentioned competition phases and couple winners from the national local branch around Europe will participate. In the Tango Salon category, the couples will compete in group dancing 3 (three) tracks, recorded or live, chosen by the Organization. In the category Tango Escenario, each pair will compete individually, dancing a song chosen independently. This may not exceed the maximum duration of 4 (four) minutes and must be given to the Organization in CD format (2 original copies in good condition). Given that the jury will consider the variety of choreography to be presented, it is recommended to present several options for each choreography round of classification performance. This point is considered optional and not exclusionary. The Organization shall have the right to eliminate from the competition participants who: a) do not comply with the provisions of Regulation b) incur any lack ethics or do anything to damage the image of the Championship or cause harm to the public. In order to ensure impartiality and professional integrity of the jury, all participants will not take part in seminars, workshops and lectures held by members of the jury, until being out of the competition. The Jury In both categories the Jury will have a minimum of 4 (four) members, who, knowing and approving the regulations of the Championship - and agreeing to respect it - will determine the score of the participating couples. The Dirección de Festivales will designate – in agreement with European Tango Society - 2 (two) judges. The rest of the jury will be complemented by the proposed by European Tango Society and approved by the Direccion de Festivales. All decisions of the Jury will be final and sole arbiter. Participants, for the sole fact of enrolling, accept this condition. In case of any doubt or dispute, the interested parties may submit a written request (in Italian or English) Organization and NOT directly to the jury. Any member of the jury who have had a business relationship or any other relationship with one or more participants during a period of at least 6 months, must refrain from issuing their opinion on the candidate in question. To this end will be taken into account the voluntary statements of the jurors, as well as information provided by participants at the time of enrollment. In this case, to obtain the final score of the pair, the Jury will add up the scores of the judges and the sum will be divided by the number of jurors who will actually expressed their vote. The results of each phase of the competition will emerge from the sum of points awarded by each member of the jury on a scale from 1 to 10, according to the parameters described in the following paragraph. The jury will select, for each category, a winning couple. The Jury may also confer awards and special mentions for second and third place (in accordance with European Tango Society). In exceptional circumstances (stage, accidents on the stage, etc.) the jury may require competitors to dance once again, and participants cannot refrain from doing so. In case of equal score a tie, the couples who have obtained the same score in the finals, will dance a final round in the category of tango salon, or submit a new choreography for the tango Escenario category, so that the Jury can elect the winning couple. Veedor: The Veedor will be indicated by the Dirección General de Festivales y Eventos Centrales and will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of this Regulation, as well as properly solve any problem not covered in this regulation and give the rules of interpretation that may be necessary. Evaluation Criteria . Tango Salon (Unrestricted Entry, Amateurs and Professionals) Once a couple is formed, the partners shall not separate as long as the music is playing. This means that the embrace, which is considered the tango dance position, cannot be broken. For the position to be considered correct, the partners must constantly hold each other by means of the embrace. Despite the fact that during certain figures this may be flexible, this should not continue throughout the entire piece. All movements shall be performed within the space allowed by the couple's embrace. Couples, as in a real dancehall, shall constantly move counterclockwise and try to avoid remaining in the same place for too long, obstructing the normal circulation of dancers around the dance floor. No contestant may raise his/her legs above the knee line. The Jury will evaluate the couple's musicality and walking style as fundamental to the qualification. Within these guidelines, participants may perform any figure commonly used, including barridas (sweeps), sacadas al piso (close to the floor), enrosques (twists), etc. Ganchos (leaps), saltos (jumps), trepadas (climbs) and any other typical choreographic stage tango possibility shall be completely excluded.. . Tango Escenario (free participation for amateurs and professionals) Participants will be able to express their personal view on the tango dance. This implies that they may resort to movements, figures and applications not usually related to traditional tango. Couples may break the embrace and use additional techniques derived from other dance disciplines, as long as these are justified and performed for the benefit of a particular performance. Film and Photographs The Management of the 4th European Tango Championship has the right to register and / or film all instances of the Championship using any type of media known or unknown, including – without any limitation – video and television recording, recording, photography, scanning, digitization, either directly or through authorized third parties in order to promote and publicize the event. The recordings obtained are exclusive property of the Organization, that must deliver a copy, as stated in the Agreement of Cooperation, to Dirección General de Festivales y Eventos Centrales. The only entry to the Championship means the express and irrevocably consent, by the participants, to the use of made recordings, and it will not involve the payment of any kind of duty for any reason by the Management of the 4th European Tango Championship or by Dirección General de Festivales y Eventos Centrales to any person or organization that will attribute to himself the paternity on the rights that can be invoked. This clause also includes - without limitation - the photographic material that will be published and / or that will be used for the promotion, advertising, etc.. Prizes There shall be one winning or champion couple in each category of the European Championship (Preliminary Championship to the X Tango Dance World Championship TANGO BUENOS AIRES 2013). The first prize in each category will be borne by the Organization and consists of two return airline ticket from Rome to Buenos Aires, including taxes, travel costs and accommodation with room and board for the days when the finals of the Tango Dance World Championship 2013 will be disputed, in the month of August. In addition, the second and third places will receive prizes and honorary mentions. All contestants will receive the 4th European tango Championship Attendance Certificates. Each participant, by entering and receiving clearance, establishes that he/she knows and accepts all the Championship provisions stated in this document. Registration: The registration and participation in the Championship in both categories will have a cost of 90 € (Euro) for each couple in each category. Those interested can register from the April 8 until June 15, 2013, retaining the Organization may extend this date if it deems it necessary. Prizes There shall be one winning or champion couple in each category of the European Tango Championship (Preliminary Championship to the X Tango Dance World Championship TANGO BUENOS AIRES 2013). First 3 classified couples, for each category will be rewarded with the Official Cup of the 4th European Tango Championship (1°,2° and 3° place in Tango Salón; 1°,2° and 3° place in Tango Escenario). The first prize in each category will be borne by the Organization and consists of: - two return airline ticket from Rome to Buenos Aires, including taxes, travel costs - accommodation with room and board for the days when the finals of the Tango Dance World Championship 2013 will be disputed, in the month of August, calculated on a forfait of Euro 250,00 for each couple .
